Tems Collect Diamond Award for Billboard Global Power Players Event for London

Grammy award winner and Naija singer Temilade Openiyi, wey people sabi as Tems, don collect big honour for Billboard Global Power Players Event wey happen on Wednesday for Shoreditch House, east London.

Tems join other big names like British music legend Sir Elton John and EMPIRE CEO Ghazi Shami as dem honour dem for the event.

She collect the Diamond Award, wey Nkosiyati Khumalo, the incoming Billboard Africa editor, present give her.

“To be African and musician na whole different level. Billboard don really support not just African music, but the full culture,” Tems talk for her speech.

“This award sweet me well, especially as African sound dey reach new levels wey we never see before. Billboard na one of the main people wey dey push this movement go front,” she add.

Sir Elton John collect the Creators’ Champion Award, while Ghazi Shami, wey be oga for EMPIRE, carry the Clive Davis Visionary Award go house.
