ASUU Don Para, Say Dem No Go Gree Again
Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) don drop serious ultimatum give Federal Government as their negotiation don jam rock again.
According to the union, if FG no fulfill the 2009 welfare agreement especially the one wey concern university funding and revitalization and dem go begin indefinite strike from 21 November 2025.
ASUU talk am clear: “We no dey do warning strike again. If government no act, na straight indefinite strike.”
Why ASUU Don Vex Like This?
The ultimatum land shortly after dem suspend their small warning strike wey no yield anything.
ASUU come reject government claim say dem don make “progress.” According to the union, things like partial salary payments, moratorium on new universities, and other political promises no reach the level wey universities need.
Dem insist say the system dey collapse and government dey do “patch-patch” solution.
Economic Wahala Still Make Matter Worse
ASUU talk say many lecturers dey struggle because of the current economic pressure.
Dem believe say without full implementation of the 2009 agreement, Nigerian universities no fit get standard.
One ASUU rep talk say:
“People no fit dey teach with empty stomach. University no be miracle centre.”
Students Don begin Fear Repeat of 2022 Wahala
As the gist break, both students and lecturers don start dey worry.
Many students still remember how the 2022 ASUU strike scatter their academic calendar, delay graduation, and cause long mental stress.
Some students yarn say another indefinite strike fit frustrate their plans again, especially those wey don already dey near final year.

One lecturer for South-West talk say:

With the November 21 deadline just near corner, Nigerians dey wait to see whether government go call ASUU for urgent talk or allow another national academic shutdown.
